The Townsville Drum Collective is a group of passionate drummers performing rhythms inspired by the music of Brazil and West Africa.
Having started as a group of six drummers in mid-2017, the group has grown to 20 drummers from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. They are best known for leading the North Queensland Cowboys Stampede during the home games and recently for leading the community parade for Pink when she visited Townsville earlier this year.
The Townsville Drum Collective has been involved with the Townsville Folk Festival over the past few years and are super excited to again be invited to share their passion and energy at the Townsville Folk Festival.
