Ticketing & Refund Policy
2026 Townsville Folk Festival — Ticket Postponement, Cancellation & Refund Conditions
In light of ongoing global uncertainty — including the impacts of Middle East conflict, fuel pricing, and cost-of-living pressures — the Townsville Folk Festival Committee has established this policy to provide clarity and flexibility for all ticket holders, vendors, and artisan vendors.
Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to all of the following. References to "ticket holders" throughout this document include vendors and artisan vendors unless otherwise stated.
Event Postponement or Cancellation
If the Festival is postponed or cancelled, all ticket holders will be offered one of the following options:

Ticket Resale & Transfers
Resale Permitted
Adult tickets may be resold by the ticket holder at their discretion.
Name Changes
Names on purchased tickets can be changed. Please note that amendments are subject to applicable booking fees.
When Refunds Are Not Available
Refunds will not be provided under the following circumstances. Refund consideration applies only to the primary ticket holder, vendor, or artisan vendor.
- Arriving late or leaving the event early for any reason
- Change of mind
- Poor weather before or during the event
- Any change in programming or scheduled artists
- Circumstances affecting third parties (e.g. friends, family, or non-ticket holders)
Booking Fees
Online Credit Card Fee
A 1.7% credit card fee applies to the total transaction for all online purchases. This fee is included in the price shown at checkout.
Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable
All booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
Program Changes
While every effort is made to present the program as advertised, the program may be subject to change without notice.
