Comfort Royale, Felix and Isabelle started jamming together at the end of 2021 and together received a Regional Arts Development Fund to funnel their new work into their debut EP. Combined, Isabelle and Felix have over a decade of experience working in the arts and this new project highlights both their strengths winning the hearts of their hometown Townsville. Felix is a professional contemporary dancer in Dancenorth and DJ whilst Isabelle has her solo project Isadoré where she has been writing and producing for a number years. Their sound is fun, its pop and a little bit fancy.
Felix and Isabelle have gained a reputation for their high-energy and captivating live performances, which have landed them on festival stages with some of Australia’s biggest acts such as Lime Cordiale, Mallrat, Vera Blue, Thelma Plum, Winston Surfshirt, Jungle Giants, San Cisco, Spacey Jane, SKEGGS and more. They have also opened for Australian legends Regurgitator celebrating 25 years of UNIT and joined Boo Seeka down the east coast. Their sound is a perfect blend of Felix’s dance-inspired beats and Isabelle’s catchy pop hooks, creating a unique and captivating musical experience that leaves their audiences wanting more.
